As a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), we have adopted its Base Code as core to our Ethical Trading Code of Practice, and require all of our factories to operate in line with these standards.
The ETI has issued a statement on the employment of Syrian refugees which we fully support. This includes adopting a zero-tolerance approach to the exploitation and discrimination against Syrian refugee’s working within the garment and textile sector.
If refugees are found to be working in the supply chain, they should be afforded continued employment under the same terms and conditions offered to their Turkish colleagues and in line with legal requirements.
We continue to work closely with our suppliers to ensure that this policy is enforced and that the rights of Syrian refugees are protected at sub-contractor as well as main production site level.
